What’s Happening at Rock Solid

357 visitors for the month. That puts the yc on about a 4,300 projected visitor clip for the year. We hosted our first youth group lock in on January 21st & also scheduled our first birthday party reservation. Reservation fee is $75. Pretty good deal considering the games inside can be played free of charge.

February is starting to fill up with events that include live concerts & guest speakers. We have also undertaken a special fund raising project that has had a promising start. We are asking 1,000 friends of the RSYC, thru Facebook or otherwise, to make a one-time annual gift of $12 to help secure the rent for 2012. We feel this is an attainable goal as $12 may not amount to nothing more than loose change hanging out in a coffee cup or automobile ash tray.

There is also the potential for a “media literacy” campaign beginning in April & running thru September through a partnership with Operation Unite. Lots of good things going on.

Rock-A-Thon

We are asking 1,000 Rock Solid friends to make a one-time $12 annual donation to the Rock Solid Youth Center of Morehead? Something to think about: That’s less than 2 movie tickets; about 3 family-size bags of Doritos; almost 4 gallons of gas; loose change that might be hanging out in a coffee cup or auto ash tray; etc… etc… How awesome it would be to know we could secure another year’s rent, worry-free.
